  • Call or text (574) 221-3406 with your location to check availability before dispatch.
  • Recovery hours are approximately 1 PM–midnight, Indiana time. After-hours calls may wake an operator; availability is confirmed before dispatch.
  • Recovery is best-effort. Weather, cover, terrain, animal movement, and property access can affect the search.

How a thermal drone search works

A thermal camera detects differences in surface temperature. An aerial search can help identify a deer that is difficult to spot from the ground, then guide the recovery effort to its location.

Thermal imaging cannot see through solid objects or guarantee a find beneath dense cover. We review the location, conditions, and access with you before deciding whether a flight is practical.

Deer recovery pricing

The $300 dispatch charge includes setup and the first 60 minutes of active search. Travel is $1.50 per one-way mile. Dispatch and mileage apply whether or not the deer is located.

After the first 60 minutes, customer-approved extensions cost $50 per started 30-minute block. A separate $100 fee is added whenever the deer is found, on top of dispatch, mileage, and any approved extensions.

For example, a search 20 one-way miles away costs $330 for the first hour if the deer is not found, or $430 if it is found. Additional approved search time costs extra.
